ABOUT
EDUCATION
Katie Dewey, LCSW, is a psychotherapist and psychoanalyst in private practice in New York City. After graduating from Middlebury College, Katie spent a few years working in the corporate world before making a career change into the mental health space. She understands the immense pressure that comes with balancing work and life and wants to help you make space to prioritize your health, wellbeing and happiness.
EXPERIENCE
Katie received her master’s degree from New York University’s Silver School of Social Work and is a member of their Phi Alpha National Honor Society. She is currently a candidate at the National Institute for the Psychotherapies’ post-graduate 4-year Adult Training Program in Psychoanalysis and Comprehensive Psychotherapy. Additionally, Katie spent a year studying eating disorder treatment interventions at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy where she treated patients with a broad range of eating disorder diagnoses including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, body dysmorphia, and orthorexia. She also holds a degree as a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (FNTP) from the Nutritional Therapy Association.
